Understanding "Chinese Dream" and Making People Live a Life with Dignity

Abstract: The "Chinese dream" is not a Utopian concept. Realizing it rests on making sure that the people live a life with dignity, that is, to secure a dignity-based livelihood. Understanding and realizing Chinese dream involves three basic principles: the unity of individuals and state, the unity of ideal and reality, and the unity of hard work and confidence. In accordance with the requirements of the three principles, a life with dignity not only relies on a strong economy, but more importantly, entails treating the state and the nation as the first dignity of the individuals. Only in this way can a basic pathway to make people live a life of dignity be created.
